1. Installation Work
1.1) All electrical installation work will comply with BS7671:2018 (and any amendments in force at the time of the works).
1.2) All electrical installation work will comply with all applicable Building Regulations in force at the time of the works.
1.3) Where work extends or modifies existing circuits, quoted costs assume the existing installation is in adequate condition and meets minimum regulatory standards. Any remedial work required to bring the installation up to standard will be charged additionally.
1.4) Unless stated otherwise, all cables will be concealed within the building fabric or voids where practicable. Where concealment is not possible, cables will be neatly surfacemounted using clips, trunking, or conduit.
1.5) Where carpets or floor coverings require lifting, no charge is made for this service. Best endeavours will be made to avoid damage and to refit coverings to an acceptable standard. Employing a specialist fitter may be advisable at the client’s cost for a fully satisfactory reinstatement.
1.6) Wall chases will not be refilled. Any filling, plastering, or final decoration is excluded unless specifically stated.
1.7) All reasonable efforts will be made to maintain a clean working environment, including the use of dust sheets and vacuum equipment.
1.8) The contract will outline the expected duration of the installation work.
1.9) The client must provide access to water and power free of charge for the duration of the works.
2. General Exclusions
2.1) Clearing or moving furniture or other items obstructing work areas is not included.
2.2) Builders’ work (e.g., holes larger than 50mm, structural supports) is excluded unless specifically stated.
2.3) Redecoration and final makinggood are excluded unless explicitly included in the quotation.
2.4) Removal and disposal of rubble, waste, packaging, old fittings, or wiring is excluded unless agreed as an additional service.
3. Extras and Variations
3.1) All extras or variations must be agreed in writing prior to commencement.
4. Pricing
4.1) Quoted costs assume continuous and unhindered access to the site during agreed working hours.
4.2) Unless stated otherwise, quoted costs assume standard working hours of 08:00–16:00, Monday to Friday, excluding Bank/Public Holidays.
4.3) Any additional work not included in the quotation will require a separate scope of works and additional charges.
4.4) All quoted figures are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.
4.5) All quotations are valid for 28 days from the date of issue.
4.6) All standard fittings (e.g. pendants, switches, sockets) will be white plastic, unless otherwise specified in the quotation.
5. Compliance and Deviations
5.1) All work will be carried out in compliance with applicable Building Regulations and BS7671. Where a client requests deviation from these standards, written instruction and acknowledgement will be required.
6. Risk, Title, and Property
6.1) Risk in all supplied goods passes to the client upon delivery.
6.2) All goods remain the property of FUS3 Electrical Ltd until all sums due are paid in full.
6.3) The client is responsible for ensuring the property is adequately insured for the duration of the works.
7. Warranty
7.1) FUS3 Electrical Ltd warrants its installation work to be free from defects for 12 months from the invoice date.
7.2) Warranty callouts will be attended within a reasonable timeframe.
7.3) This warranty does not cover: goods not supplied by FUS3 Electrical Ltd, consumables (e.g., lamps, fuses, batteries), physical damage, misuse, or alterations by third parties, issues arising from client supplied materials.
8. Payment
8.1) Unless agreed otherwise in writing, payment in full is required upon completion of the specified works.
8.2) Stage payments may be requested by prior arrangement.
8.3) Late payments may incur interest and reasonable recovery costs in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act.
9. Unforeseen Issues
9.1) If unforeseen issues arise (e.g., unsafe wiring, structural defects, asbestos, hidden faults), work will pause and the client will be informed.
9.2) A revised quotation will be provided for any additional work required.
9.3) FUS3 Electrical Ltd is not liable for delays caused by such issues.
10. Client Supplied Materials
10.1) FUS3 Electrical Ltd is not responsible for delays caused by faulty, missing, or incompatible client supplied materials.
10.2) Additional labour required due to unsuitable or incompatible materials will be chargeable.
11. Waste Removal
11.1) Waste removal is excluded unless specifically included in the quotation.
11.2) Waste removal services can be provided at an additional cost.
12. Data Protection
12.1) Client information will be stored securely and used only for purposes such as quotations, invoicing, certification, and warranty.
12.2) Information will not be shared with third parties except where legally required.
12.3) Data will be retained only for as long as necessary for legal and operational purposes.
13. Liability
13.1) FUS3 Electrical Ltd is not liable for consequential or indirect losses, including loss of earnings or business interruption.
13.2) No liability is accepted for damage caused by preexisting defects or hidden conditions within the property.
13.3) Liability is limited to the value of the contracted works.
14. Cancellation and Postponement
14.1) Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled start date may incur charges.
14.2) Wasted visits due to lack of access or unsafe conditions may be chargeable.
14.3) Rescheduling must be agreed in advance and may affect project timelines.
15. Dispute Resolution
15.1) In the event of a dispute, mediation will be the preferred method of resolution.
